Cookie notes
Two small items are saved in your browser by this site, and an embedded map may add a few more. Here is what each of them does.
What the site stores
What cookies are
In short, a cookie is a tiny file kept by your browser at a website's request. Local storage, a close cousin built into every browser, does a similar job for the site that wrote it. Our own pages use local storage, not cookies, to remember two simple answers from you: whether you are an adult, and whether you pressed accept. Neither answer is sent to us or to anyone else.
Consent starts switched off
Until you choose, analytics and advertising storage are denied. Pressing the accept button on the cookie banner changes that setting for later visits; leaving the banner alone keeps everything off. The site works the same either way, and no page is hidden from you because of your choice. At present the site loads no advertising and no analytics tags at all.
The embedded map
The map on the contact page loads as soon as the page opens, because it is a simple embedded frame. It is supplied by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map appears. We do not control those, and they follow Google's own policy. If you would rather avoid it, the street address and the phone number are printed beside the map, and any navigation app will find the club room from them.
How long things last
The two keys in the table below have no expiry date of their own. They stay until you clear your browser storage or reset your browser, we never extend or renew them, and we cannot read them from our side. The map provider decides how long any of its cookies last, and the best place to read about that is the provider's own policy.
Changing your mind
You can clear the keys below in your browser settings at any time, which brings back the age question and the cookie banner on your next visit. Browsers also let you block cookies from a particular site, including the map. If you block everything, the site still works; you will simply be asked your age on each visit.
